The (VSA) represents sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and sheriff’s‑office staff across Virginia — over 10,295 members across 97% of the state’s 123 sheriff’s offices. Founded in 1933, VSA advocates at the state level on criminal‑justice legislation, corrections, law enforcement staffing and jail policies.
