Members include cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, internists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, and other advanced-degree physicians, alongside nurse practitioners, physician assistants, technologists, nutritionists, exercise scientists and community health advocates who work in hospitals, clinics, academic medical centers and community outreach programs. The Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC), founded in 1974, represents a dedicated network of more than 2,000 cardiologists, cardiovascular health professionals and community health advocates working internationally to eliminate cardiovascular disparities in Black and other underserved communities.
